The Project is an extension of the Swatou Baptist Church Interior Design that the client wishes to have a flexible main hall and at the same time maintains the traditional wooden long pew outlook of the church. In order to facilitate the changes of use of space, a foldable design which utilizes the basic mechanism similar to a foldable bed is used. The advantages of a long bench is that the number of maximum accommodation can be increased to a certain extent in case there are more people in the hall than the designed number of accommodation. The structure of the Pew is steel with solid wood finish for the seat and the back rest, a space for bible and hymns is also available behind the back rest for use. The Pew is designed for 2-3 meters in length which can accommodate 4-6 people normally.
