Dong Ting Museum Competition 1st Runner-Up 

The project is located about 10km away from Dong Ting Lake City. It is a design which aims at bringing man-made buildings and natural landscape together into a symbiotic body. The design also focuses on reactivating the existing wetland, and tries to embraces traditional Chinese landscape concepts as well as local Dong Ting cultures. The project consists of three museums – museum of Dong Ting Culture, Porpoise museum and bird museum. The three museums are situated next to the waterfront and are designed to surround a central plaza space, signifying a symbiotic world with creatures from the sky, the land and the sea all live together as a sustainable whole.
